JAMES FREEMAN

Initially starting a career in the travel industry he spent a number of years working with a range of leisure and corporate clients including Miki Travel (leading Japanese tour operator) and Philips Electronics (Dutch multi-national). His work mainly consisted of arranging European tours, exhibitions, hotels and conferences.

Gradually James moved into more music/media roles (1997 – 2000) when he worked extensively in the UK Latin music scene DJing, teaching salsa and general event promotions. He worked alongside many of the leading organisations including Salsa UK, Salsa Caliente and Beija-Flor. He also ran his own successful Latin club night for two years at a Cuban-themed bar in south London.

From 2001 James’ focus switched to more ‘urban’ genres with emphasis on positive/gospel orientated music. He heads up the promotion at A Godly Affair which has become one of the most successful urban gospel showcase nights in the UK (named ‘Top Gospel Club Night’ by the New Nation Newspaper). Other high-profile events James has spearheaded promotion are TalkGospel.com Newcomers Competition, Christian Gospel Exhibition, Brian Martin & Singers Launch, GreenJade Album Launch and IDMC Live DVD Recording. He was also the PR/Marketing manager for Soul Deep One, an independent Jazz/Gospel album which launched at London’s Jazz Café with special guest Jocelyn Brown.

He regularly contributes to BBC 1Xtra’s Sunday morning show ‘Vibrations’. He also sits on various UK music industry boards like Gospel Music Forum (GFM) and the British Academy’s Christian Music Writers Forum (CMWF).

James has created an interesting list of clients (past and present) whom he has worked with in a PR/Media capacity including Richa Sands (former Miss Bahamas), Adlan Cruz (leading concert pianist), Roy Francis Productions (UK Gospel promoter), Kindred Spirit, Karen Clark Sheard, Trin-i-tee 5:7, McCain PR, Creative Soul Entertainment, Barbados Gospelfest, Culsen Travel, and Community Music Skills.

CHRISTOPHE PIERRE

While building a career in Accounting with the largest oil company in the Caribbean, Christophe spent his spare time planning and stage-managing the largest and longest running gospel/club event in Trinidad alongside founder and radio announcer, Jamie Thomas. 1996 - 2001 saw him working alongside some of the hottest local and international artistes of that time, Kirk Franklin, Nu Nation, Christafari, Alvin Slaughter and Sherwin Gardner to name a few. During this time he gained valuable experience in event management, production and marketing.

In 2001 he turned his back on a solid Accounting career to fulfil his artistic side through the vehicle of Web Design. Upon realising the importance of graphic design on the internet, he completed his CIW (Certified Internet Webmaster) studies and left for London to embark on what turned out to be a successful career in Graphic/Web Design. He worked for two years with London based MIA Design Group during which he designed for a range of artistes, companies and ministries such as KICC, Ruach Ministries, Reyach Records Phat and Heavy Garage compilation and others. While working full time, He was privately contracted to build the bfm Film and Television Awards Website and design their brochures which led to the designing of the Screen Nation logo. These two contracts placed him in high demand upon which he decided to go freelance.

As a freelance web designer, he currently works on many high profile gospel sites such as Four Kornerz, Sherwin Gardner, London Community Gospel Choir and Stitchie Music. He is also responsible for the rebranding and relaunch of the wildly popular United by One website. As a graphic designer, he works with a range of gospel organisations, from Roy Francis Productions to British Gospel Arts. He also specialises in Corporate Identity and business imaging.

He still continues to stage-manage and produce events and has worked in prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, The Jazz Cafe and the Ocean Music Venue.
